David
Henderson is a North Berwick-based landscape artist
who has come late to painting after a career in educational
journalism. He has no formal art training but a few
summer courses stirred his interest enough to make the
break into full-time painting.
He now pursues his love of the outdoors and tries to
capture some of the magic and mood of the seas, coasts
and mountains in different seasons. Strong colour is
a major feature of his work whether it's the pantile
roofs of the east coast fishing villages of Scotland,
the more rugged communities in Wester Ross and Skye
or the mountains of Switzerland deep in winter snow.
